Pastry Chef / Junior Pastry Chef / Sous Chef / Cake Decorator / Baker – Baking & Cake Decorating

Are you passionate about baking and have experience in a professional kitchen? Do you like to tweak recipes, work on the small details and give your edible works of art the perfect looks and taste? Are you interested in design, trends and fashion?

We are looking for a new addition to our team at Susucre as a pastry chef for our new location in Bugis.

You should:

… have experience in baking (layered cakes, ganache, buttercream, desserts)
… have experience in cake decorating (figure modelling, covering, decorations)
… have experience in managing / organizing a kitchen
… enjoy working in a small team
… have a sense of style and current trends
… be willing to learn new skills, recipes and tricks
… be precise and perfectionistic
… be used to working cleanly 

Your duties as Pastry Chef include

  • Baking of cakes and desserts based on established recipes
  • Cake decorating, figure modelling, cake design
  • Baking & cake decorating classes
  • Organization and managing of baking / decorating for order schedules
  • Scheduling the team for baking / decorating
  • Preparation & set-up of dessert tables, wedding & party set-ups
  • Packaging of cakes and preparations for delivery
  • Keeping and enforcing cleanliness in the kitchen
 

Working hours: full time, Monday – Friday (full day), Saturdays/Sundays event and wedding set-ups, client orders, company events

Expected starting salary: S$1.500 – S$2.700
