You should:

… have professional experience in baking (layered cakes, ganache, buttercream, desserts)
… have professional experience in cake decorating (figure modelling, covering, decorations, sugar flowers, fondant, buttercream)
… enjoy working in a small team and have team leading skills
… have a sense of style and current trends
… be willing to learn new skills, recipes and tricks
… be precise and perfectionistic
… be used to working cleanly 

Your duties as Pastry Chef include

  • Preparation of cakes and desserts incl. quality control
  • Operational kitchen management
  • Cake decorating, figure modelling, sugar flowers
  • Developing cake designs incl. consultations with clients
  • Baking & cake decorating classes
  • Planning, designing and executing dessert tables
  • Preparation & set-up of dessert tables, wedding & party set-ups
  • Keeping and enforcing cleanliness in the kitchen
 

Working hours: full time 44hrs, Monday – Friday (full day), alternate Saturdays/Sundays event and wedding set-ups, client orders, company events

Expected starting salary: S$2.200 – S$2.800

  • Baking of cakes and desserts based on established recipes
  • Cake decorating, figure modelling, cake design
  • Support in baking & cake decorating classes
  • Planning, designing and executing dessert tables
  • Preparation & set-up of dessert tables, wedding & party set-ups
  • Packaging of cakes and preparations for delivery
  • Keeping and enforcing cleanliness in the kitchen

Internship as Cake Decorator / Baker

You should:

As part of your internship you will learn

  • Baking, layering, filling and masking cakes
  • Decorating with fondant (2D / 3D / covering)
  • Preparing dessertsSetting up dessert tables and wedding cakes
 

Working hours: full time, Monday – Friday (full day), alternating Saturdays/Sundays event and wedding set-ups, client orders, company events

Expected salary: S$600 / 5 months internship period
Possibility for full time position after internship.
